Open Source Chip Ecosystem Team
(Build an) Ecosystem for Collaborative and Open Silicon
Introduction
The ECOS Team's name is derived from the first letters of EDA, Chip, OneStudentOneChip, and System, and also the first four letters of Ecosystem, signifying "Ecosystem". The ECOS Team was formed by merging the original "One Student One Chip" Team and the original "Open Source EDA" Team. Members primarily come from the Frontier System Laboratory, Center for Advanced Computer Systems, Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing Institute of Open Source Chip, etc. The team is guided by Professor Yungang Bao of the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and its daily operations are managed by Biwei Xie and Zihao Yu. Currently, it has over 10 engineers and several doctoral and master's students. The team recruits doctoral and master's students annually from the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the School of Computer Science of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and ShanghaiTech University. Meanwhile, the team maintains close collaborations with Pengcheng Laboratory, Shenzhen University, Shandong University, Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou).
